The World Ski Championships

Posted by Eva on

The sun has finally found its way to Scandinavia, so now we have beautiful white snow glimmering from the sunny backdrop. And that can only mean one thing - time for all the winter activities to begin!

On Wednesday 18th February the World Ski Championships gets underway, which this year takes place in Falun, Dalarna. It'll be interesting to see how Charlotte Kalla and the other Swedish skiers get on - needless to say we'll be cheering from Stockholm!

Falun 2015

And to mark this occasion at The Local Brands we've just got in some new products from the Kiruna-based company Skigo. The company founder, Christer Majbäck, is a former Swedish cross country skier who competed from 1985 to 1999. He also won a bronze medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. Skigo's products are some of the best on the market and even used by the pros, take a look for yourself here!
